Hi, I'm Karina and I'm a Hoopaholic.

I picked up a hoop in August 2008 and have been spinning ever since. I love the freedom, playfulness and expressiveness of hooping along with its many health benefits.

I have spun my hoop on stage at music festivals including Lollapalooza in Chicago, USA, dance showcases such as Tour de Dance at Oxford Art Factory (Sydney), on Sunrise morning show, at private parties, for big businesses, community events and in eight Sydney Mardi Gras parades.

I have learnt with the world’s best hoopers and circus performers at Hoop Camp Retreats near Santa Cruz (USA), Harbin Hoop Jam near San Francisco (USA), Hoopurbia in Berlin, Sacred Circularities in Bali and Australia's own Hoopy Happenings. Taught by Bunny Hoop Star of Hoop Empire, I am a hybrid hooper - combing elements of traditional circus hooping with modern hoop dance originating from the states. 

I hold a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, a Senior First Aid Certificate, a NSW Working with Children Check for Small Business Owners, Public Liability and Professional Indemnity Insurance (Australia) and most importantly ... a license for fun!
