World Hoop Day 2011

Each year, on a numerologically blessed date, hula hoopers from around the world get together to celebrate all that is hula hooping. Costumes, globally choreographed dances, free events, workshops and general hoop love are the go. This year’s celebration fell on 11.11.11 and followed in the palindromic dates of 10.10.10, 09.09.09 etc (convenient for those in the USA and elsewhere as there is no confusion over whether day or month comes first when writing the date). Gloria of HoopYoga coordinated the Sydney event for a glorious morning on Bondi Beach. We drew the attention of a few locals and I managed to give an impromptu lesson or two - check out these guys!
